Over the years I've been blessed to find an interest in many different areas of design. And over time, I've found one common thread in all of my ventures: how to help others find their own personal expression and how to be creative.
Having landed a coveted position at California Closets (CC), leaders in premium and luxury space-management, I established a twelve-year long foundation, centered around design-organization, spatial planning and project administration. I ended this amazing career as the Design & Sales Manager, overseeing the entire team for the DC Metro area: all design-training, project reviews, product ordering, and acted as the CAD and Product Specialist for the entire franchise.
With a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, and with years of learning the ins-and-outs of the trade (from customer-interface, to design+manufacturing +installation), I opened my part-time, interior design business, DuVäl Design LLC, in the summer of 2011. I began by working on a few projects here-and there, while still managing the sales growth of CC.
In my short amount in this industry, I've been fortunate to work on really great projects--some of which include the Homeland Security building on 15th Street in DC, the Watergate South and West, the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, a former Ambassador to Mexico, professional athletes and so much more. And I have been honored to be named, "The One to Watch" by DC Modern Luxury and "Hot Talent" by Home&Design magazines, and included in the Iconic Home by Architectural Digest.
At the beginning of 2017, I decided it was time to fulfill my passion of offering more than just casework--although I enjoyed every moment of it! And on Sept. 1st, of that year, I figured it was time to take all that I've practiced and to deliver a customized experience for each client, offering guidance, supervision, and the resources to help you create the space you want and need!
HUGE thanks to my lovingly supportive wife, Sara, who is more than I could have (or would have) ever dared to ask for! As a flight paramedic for the The US Dept of Defense (DOD), she is immensely talented in all she does, and is the inspiration for me to do better, to be better, and to offer my best self, to everyone I meet! I am truly blessed!!

Hey there! My name is Sarah, and I am the Design Assistant at DDLLC. I have my degree in Interior Design with a minor in Business.
After interning for DuVäl a few years ago, I loved it so much that I just had to come back!
I believe interior design should be beautiful, but it should also improve how we live and that is what I’d love to help your space accomplish.
Outside of design, I love traveling to new places and crossing things off my bucket list. I also enjoy finding all the best live music spots, spending quality time with friends and family, and hanging out with my German shepherd/husky mix, Arlo!
DANIELLA "DANI" MIRANDA
Hello, it's me again! For those of you who don't know, I go by Dani. I first had the opportunity to be a part of the DDLLC Team back in 2019. But, because of the pandemic me and my family had to embark on some changes and make the tough decision to move to South, FL.
While in Florida, I decided to take my years of Administrative support experience and become a Virtual Assistant. Recently, DuVäl gave me an opportunity to come back onto the team, but this time - virtually, of course! My role here is to make sure that the back-end is running smoothly. There is so much more to the design process than you think. It takes a village, and I am so happy to be a part of this one!
On my free time, I love to go to the beach or the theme parks with my family. And most recently, I have really been into trying new restaurants in our new city!
Business Development + Floater
Hello :) I’m currently part-time with the DDLLC team,, working on the strategic business planning for additional businesses, but honestly I’m mostly just in charge of our security detail (aka Queso).
My background is in Fire/Rescue and I started my career in my hometown, Baltimore, MD. I have been working as a first responder/Paramedic for the last 12 years. I am a front-line worker, as an internationally board certified Flight Paramedic and am blessed to have the opportunity to help people in times of greatest need.
In my spare time, I like to work out and do most anything active, play viola on the church worship team, teach myself home improvement skills, travel with the hubs, and spend time with family/friends.
If we don't meet at the office, you may run into me on a job site or helping with an installation, so make sure to come say, “Hi!”
Photographer & Videographer
Videography, photography, and graphic design, are only some of the amazing services I bring to the team at DDLLC!
Having served the East coast clientele for over four years with my own business , MW Concepts, I mainly focus on interior and lifestyle photography and videography for the team.
After partnering together for a couple of years, in late Spring of 2020, I finalized convinced D that it was time to start work on his YouTube Channel.
My main function is to make sure I bring the brand's vision to life, communicating our imagination into digital format. Oh yeah, and exceeding expectations along the way!
Bookkeeper + Financial Consultant
Pamela Fullerton is the owner of Empire Office Services; a Washington DC based bookkeeping company. Her company specializes in offering bookkeeping and advisory services to new and fledgling businesses, helping them to get their books in order and keeping their accounts up to date.
Pamela was born and educated in London, England where she studied Accounting and Economics at the London School of Economics before emigrating to the United States. For more than 20 years she has been working with small businesses and entrepreneurs offering world-class accounting and tax services to the local market.
Empire Office Services offers accounting, tax prep, account reconciliation, financial counseling, and payroll services specifically tailored to the needs of the small business client.
Mascot & Security
My name is Queso and I am a 4 y/o Portuguese Podengo Pequeño / Chihuahua mix.
My early puppyhood was ruff, but I was rescued off the streets at 5wks old, in Fairfax, VA.
Now I’m living my best life as DDLLC’s beloved mascot (I’m in high demand with the puparazzi). And don’t forget, I’m also our company’s security detail. Don’t mess with me, or I’ll smother you in tail wags and kisses.
In my free time, when I’m not being spoiled by my family and colleagues, I like to play fetch and snuggle with my pawsome parents, DuVäl and Sara!
