The Vision: Some spaces are designed to impress. Others are designed to make you feel something. This room was imagined as the place where childhood wonder meets adulthood—a quiet world suspended somewhere between memory and reality. Inspired by the idea that Alice eventually left Wonderland behind, we envisioned the home she might create years later: sophisticated and refined, yet forever carrying traces of the imagination that once shaped her. It became a story about growing up without ever completely letting go of the magic that defined us.

The Approach: The journey began with a custom hand-painted mural that serves as the heart of the room—an ethereal European landscape softened by romantic colors and dreamlike light. From there, every material, texture, and furnishing was chosen to support the narrative. Elegant silhouettes, layered textiles, and collected details create a sense of timelessness, while subtle moments of whimsy gently reveal themselves throughout the space. Rather than recreating Wonderland, the design simply hints that it once existed, allowing the imagination to fill in the rest.

 

The Outcome: The finished room feels less like a bedroom and more like a memory you can't quite place. It invites quiet reflection, creativity, and escape, offering a place where nostalgia and sophistication exist in perfect harmony. It's a reminder that while childhood may be behind us, wonder never truly disappears—it simply finds a quieter place to live.
